Black Snake Creek Festival 2013 – The Planning Begins

This year’s festival is just 7 months away. Its scheduled date is 12th & 13th October.

An initial planning meeting will be held at the Marburg Community Centre next Wednesday
20th March commencing at 7:00 p.m..

At this stage, the festival does have some question marks around it, as the position of
Festival Co-ordinator remains vacant. As you may know, this has been so for some
months. The opportunity is there for someone in the community to volunteer their services
as Festival Co-ordinator. This is a great local festival, one the community looks forward
to each year and for that reason it’s worth the effort. If you are in a position to fill this role
or know someone who may, please let it be known. There will be no pressure exerted to
encourage a person take on this position who is reluctant to do so.

This meeting is an important one and a good roll up will enable a confident start to the
process. Getting more people participating at an early stage will be especially welcome.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, but are available to participate in the festival
planning committee, please let that be known.

If you know of people who would be interested in getting involved, please let them know of
this meeting and invite them to come along.
